Main Applications Metal Matrix Composites:
(1) Abrasive and abrasive industries: TiC abrasives are ideal materials to replace traditional abrasives such as alumina, silicon carbide, boron carbide and chromium oxide. Nano-titanium carbide has the same grinding ability as synthetic diamond, which greatly reduces the cost. It has been widely used in the United States, Japan, Russia and other countries. Abrasives, grinding wheels and abrasive pastes made of nano-titanium carbide materials can greatly improve grinding efficiency, grinding accuracy and surface finish.
(2) Electro-contact plate coating materials: At present, the annual amount of silver used for contact materials in the world accounts for one fourth of the total amount. Adding appropriate amount of nano-TiC into silver plating material can reduce the amount of silver by 5%, save cost and make the performance of composite coating more stable.
(3) Cermet composite coating: Coating nano-TiC ceramic composite coating on metal surface can improve mechanical wear resistance and corrosion resistance. It has been successfully applied in static, dynamic and harsh environments to protect the substrate and improve the efficiency and service life of components.
(4) Tools: The surface of the tool is coated with nano-TiC ceramic hard film. Without losing the toughness of the metal matrix, the wear resistance of the tool surface is improved, cutting time is shortened and the surface accuracy of the workpiece is improved. A123O-TiC ceramic tools are prepared from nanoparticles with TiC content of 20%-30%, and have excellent anti-spalling properties. Powder metallurgy: nano-titanium carbide powder is used in powder metallurgy to produce ceramics and cemented carbide parts, such as wire drawing dies and cemented carbide dies.
Nano-Ti-based cemented carbides have the following characteristics:
(1) High hardness, generally up to HRA90;
(2) Good wear resistance and low wear rate;
(3) High temperature resistance and good oxidation resistance;
(4) Good thermal conductivity and chemical stability. Surfacing electrode: The hardness and wear resistance of surfacing layer can be greatly improved by adding nano-TiC into surfacing electrode. The HC value of the hardness of the welded layer can be increased from 50 to 60. In addition, the layer can be deposited and water quenching can not crack. Copolyester PETG: After adding titanium carbide (TiC) into the PETG material, the PETG material has excellent impact strength, heat resistance, good heat sealing, non-bending, scratch resistance, aging resistance, antistatic, excellent chemical resistance, low extraction resistance and hydrolysis resistance. It is a new generation of environmentally friendly plastics with good fluidity, strong dyeing power, easy moulding and good hygiene (according to fda).
Ceramic Industry:
(1) foam ceramic: Foam Ceramic crop filter can effectively remove impurities in various fluids. TiC foam ceramics have better strength, hardness, thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity and heat resistance than oxide ceramics. Therefore, it is more suitable for the preparation of high quality foam ceramics.
(2) Molten metal crucible: TiC ceramic is a kind of face-centered cubic crystal with high melting point, good thermal conductivity, high hardness, good chemical stability, no hydrolysis, high temperature oxidation resistance, so the crucible made of TiC has high temperature stability. Better, longer life. Note: This product should be stored in a cool, dry room to avoid excessive pressure. The powders without surface treatment should not be exposed to air during use to avoid moisture absorption and agglomeration, which may affect dispersion and use.
